Maybe you haven’t heard, but Steve Jobs just recently announced the all new iPhone 3G. Why the need for a new iPhone? Well, currently, the Blackberry is the nation’s leading cell phone for business people, and Apple – with its monopolistic approach to the cell phone industry – seeks to gain a stronger market in the business world. The new features are designed to accommodate the average businessman and businesswoman. Rumors have been lurking around for months with bloggers posting and commenting about what may be the future of the iPhone. Well, now those rumors can be laid to rest as Steve revealed some of the new features of the iPhone.

We’ve all heard of the ruckus that the iPhone has sparked in the past year, but we’ve yet to see any true competition with the iPhone. There was a lot of noise about Verizon’s Voyager, but after all of the clouded smoke was cleared, the iPhone stood the test as the PDA, internet- music genius that buyers desired. But we are hearing rumors of other companies that have taken on the challenge of presenting customers with what seems to be next-gen cell phones. One in particular is the new and upcoming Samsung’s 3G Instinct.

Meet Microsoft Surface

We’ve all had some form of interaction with computers whether it is in our homes, on our jobs, or at an ATM. The competition between computer developing corporations has created a pretty lucrative market. We cannot deny the remarkable evolution of the computer console that was once a massive machine that almost filled an entire room, and is now accessible in a handheld device. We’ve come far in the Technological Age and I must say, being alive during such an awesome time of tech-evolution is indeed phenomenal.

If that doesn’t tickle your fancy, get this… It uses a multi-touch screen that allows a user, or multiple users, to manipulate digital content by the use of natural motions, hand gestures, or physical objects.

The iPhone Experience

I am in the process of purchasing an iPhone for my birthday this month – I’m turning the Big “21”. I know, I know; we’ve all read countless blog posts from bloggers who’ve over-exaggerated the iPhone-purchasing experience. Really, it’s not that big of a deal. But for me, it is. This will be my second purchase of an Apple product and my first big purchase (possibly one of few) this year. I actually purchased an iPod Mini a few years back, and it finally stalled on me last month; plus my phone plan with Verizon ends in May and my Razr cell phone is literally on death row (lol).

So this is how it all played out. I was actually visiting an Apple store this week to price a new iPod. I wasn’t – by any means – planning on even looking at the iPhone because I was convinced that I was going to buy a nice iPod Video for my birthday and a Blackberry when my phone plan expires in May. But something drew me over to the iPhone booth, I don’t know what it was – maybe it was some spiritual intervention or maybe it was just my carnal instinct to tamper with what I know my deceiving heart desired (I don’t know).
