Battle Cry for a Generation, The Book

Ron Luce wrote a very engaging and informing book on the state of this generation of youth. After reading this book, it left me with one resounding realization, and that is that this is a generation in need of serious help. This generation is in crisis whether we want to realize it or not. Sadly, there are so many young people who are lost and confused. Teen pregnancy, homosexuality, money, porn, television, video games, drugs, gangs and so much more are harming and tarnishing the lives and minds of this generation.

In Battle Cry of a Generation, Ron Luce gives us hope through Jesus Christ and the rising of a generation of young followers who are answering the call to impact and lead this generation to Christ. There is such a dire need for serious Christians who are not afraid or intimidated; who dedicate their lives in an effort to see a generation saved and transformed by the true message and fame of Jesus Christ.

Ron Luce has joined with many other visionaries and youth leaders to spark a movement like never before known as The Battle Cry/Acquire the Fire Movement. It is one of the many movements that are springing up all over the world in an effort to steer this generation back to God. The book presents an urgency that is forcing us to take off the veil of ignorance from our eyes so that we can each begin to see how relevant and dire this cause is today.

Psalm 24:6 says, “This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him”.

I feel that that generation is us! There has never been such a time of urgency to lead people to Jesus Christ as there is today. I believe that it is vitally important that we as believers begin to seek God for our purpose and position in these last days. It is time out for playing church, playing religion, isolating ourselves in the 4-walls of the church, and being satisfied. We must get informed, get involved, and stay engaged with this cause in saving this generation and leading them back to God. We cannot be satisfied and content. My prayer is that we would find a way to do our part. May we not let Ron fight this battle alone.

“Oh, my anguish, my anguish! I writhe in pain. Oh, the agony of my heart! My heart pounds within me, I cannot keep silent. For I have heard the sound of the trumpet; I have heard THE BATTLE CRY”. -Jeremiah 4:19 NIV
