I’m sick and tired of Christians who know more about what a preacher has to say than what God has to say. When I look around it’s hard to see people who are serious about this thing. Most folks just wanna have “church”, yet most of this Christian generation can’t quote a scripture but they can surely tell you every word of T. Pain’s new video or DFL’s new song. We as Christians have become so comfortable in our ignorance that most of us have no idea who God is… we know ABOUT Him, but most of us never get serious enough to know Him. We think being saved means I can just say it and live how I choose… THE DEVIL IS A LIE!!! When you get the chance, take a look at Matthew 7:21-23.

I’m not trying to condemn anybody, but some of us who claim to be Christians and specifically those who’re on this website and in this group need to reevaluate ourselves (2 Corinthians 13:5) because being saved is not just saying you believe but believing (Romans 10:9) and living the life. You have Christians today who feel homosexuality and lesbianism and sex before marriage is okay (1 Corinthians 6:9-11). We’ve gotten to a place where we accept anything. We’ve gotten so detached from the Word of God that we’ve made up our own word. Not saying that being saved means being perfect, but the true essence of Christianity is becoming more like Christ or being perfected which is a daily process AND a lifestyle. We’ve settled for a “Christian name-tag” rather than a “Christian lifestyle”.

I was up Saturday evening in my college dorm room at Georgia State University waiting for The Ramp to come on via the internet. The Ramp is a ministry made up of young people between the ages of 15 to 25 who are hungry for God and the truth; who are living the life and spreading the Gospel. This ministry is spearheaded by Karen Wheaton, an anointed Woman of God who has a passion for this generation.

I’ve been watching The Ramp for the past 2 to 3 years. This is by far one of the few dynamic group of young people who feel what I feel and see what I see and are hungry for what I have a hunger for… and that’s God and Him alone. They understand that He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life and they’ve caught on to the realization that you can either choose God NOW or go through life the hard way and wish you had Him later. But either way, it’s your choice. They’ve decided that He, in the end, is the only thing that matters. And I love their passion and drive, especially in a time where most youth are so out-of-touch with God.
